I heard about the earthquake as our ward mission leader's wife was right in the middle of it. In her town, where she went to visit most of the deaths have occurred. But her and her family are doing well, definitely a miracle.
Things in Othello are legit. Keep praying for our people, thank you very much. This weekend we should see a young boy be baptized who has been waiting for about a year and a half since he turned 8. His mom was flaky, but now she is catching the vision, as well as her non member husband. More to come on that, so he should be baptized this weekend. Alvaro. I just love Othello, the area, the stake, pretty much everything about it. I'd be content staying in this area for the rest, but I think the Lord may have other things in store for me, and if so, I trust that they will be bomb. I love the mission; need the mission. Miracles are a daily occurrence and my anxiety for Othello is scarcely contained. Stake conference proved to be a family reunion for me as I knew the people from 6 of the 11 units (wards and branches) plus people here and there from exchanges. The Warden people even remembered me still, though I'm not sure how, it was a while back since I was there, but not that long ago.
I love the Othello stake. It feels like my home stake now, I certainly know the people better here than I ever did in my own stake.
Love,
Elder Jacobson
